July already

We had a great 4th of July. We went over to our friends Gina and Dean's house to see the fireworks. It was a fun night. Probably the best 4th of July in a long time. My friend Gina has 2 kids the same age as Madison and Stanlee. So the kids had a great time playing with each other. Madison and Gina's son Hunter are BFF's it is so cute. I brought my camera with me but I didn't take any pictures. The last thing on my mind was taking pictures, we were having so much fun! I started teaching the gymnastics classes at the parks and rec in our town. I had a cortisone shot in my hand so it is feeling back to normal. I am really happy about that. So, I am teaching the classes at night only 4 hours a week till August 5th, but it's something. In the fall I will be working a lot more because I am taking over the year for my friend Gina who will be expecting her 3rd baby in October. It is finally starting to feel like summer here. June was full of rain and being indoors. July is looking good so far. Hopefully we can make it to the beach a lot this month. We are planning for Friday to go to the beach I have heard that it will be 85 to 95 on Friday. That sounds like a good beach day to me. Twilight Tunes is starting this Wednesday night. I am looking forward to going to that. This Wednesday is going to be a Luau, we have grass skirts to wear. I am sure it will be fun. Hopefully I remember to take pictures! That's about all that has been going on here! Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July!!!!

Spring is here

Today was a beautiful hot day out. My truck said it was 88 degrees. My shoulders are nice and red! We were out swimming this morning but had things to do to get ready to go to the beach tomorrow so we came in. I don't care if the ocean is to cold to go in tomorrow, it's going to be 90 degrees then and we don't have our window air conditioners in yet so I really don't want to be here. Well, I just wanted to write a little something since I haven't in a while. I will take pictures tomorrow and update some more then!

Other places

I have been so busy on Facebook that I have neglected my blog. Not much has really been going on. We are doing good. We have been buying alot of new things for the apartment. We got our new TV, went to Old Navy got some new clothes for the family, and bought house stuff from Ikea. We were in much need of new lighting. So i bought lamps for our rooms and the living room. I also got some new curtains for a few rooms. Maybe I will like our apartment better when i get everything together. I am also trying to make my apartment nice for when Ralph and Melissa come to visit in April. I am so excited to see them and I am sure Madi will go nuts when she see grandpa Ralph ( Alf is what she calls him) and Auntie Melissa. Kris started painting our apartment last September while me and the kids were in AZ and got 70% done and hasn't finished it still. So he is going to get it done before April. Well, he better get it done then! Well, we are getting lots of snow over these next few days. Maybe some good snow pictures for you all. Well jsut htought I would check in and let you all know we are doing good.

Ice Skating

I will start off first by saying that Stanlee had a great birthday and we had fun being with our family and friends. My house was such a mess afterwards and I still have yet to recover from Saturday. On Sunday we all went ice skating. Madi has been begging to go ice skating since before Christmas. We had such a great time. We had rented skates, which was OK for me but poor Stanlee couldn't get his foot all the way in so he had a hard time. Madison skated very well but she got blisters on her ankles from the skates and Kris had to wear 2 sizes to small. They don't have skates in a fifteen. Poor guy! Besides that we had a blast. It was actually really easy to ice skate. I didn't fall once. I was a bit wobbly but didn't fall. Kris was skating pretty fast and I was so surprised on how easy it was. We are now going to invest in our own ice skates. Luckily another mom had told me they make adjustable skates for the kids so we will get them those. We are also going to find a pond farther north we can go skating at. For a family of 4 to get in and rent skates was $36, so if we are planning on making this a regular thing we thought buying skates and finding a pond would be cheaper in the long run. If the pond thing doesn't work out you can buy $10 skate passes at the parks and rec and you can go to Choate and skate there on Sundays. I have pictures but am having problems getting them on the computer so I will do that soon. Well I must go prepare my list of things to do today before the messy storm comes tomorrow. Last thing I want is to be out of milk and have to go out in the mess! It will be one of those storms that can't make up it mind between snow and sleet and rain! How FUN!

Ranting

So, Stanlee got a package today from his Aunt (Kris's sister) in AZ. Well it is a long story about Kris's relationship with his sister. So I opened up his card and in it it said this " perhaps next time your family comes to Arizona with you, you might look us up and come over for a visit, so we may know who you are...." Now this annoys me a little, and I am only letting me get annoyed a little because it is a waste of my time to let her bother me with stupid things she says. My whole thinking is, who writes this in a 2 year olds birthday card? What kind of a person does this? Who could bring a 2 year old into what ever problems we have with each other. Another question I asked myself was, do I save this card. I really don't want to save it because when Stanlee is older and can read and see's this card, what is he to think. The kids should be left out of these kinds of issues. It is for things like this why she will not have the relationship she wants with Kris and her nephew. I just know her intentions of writing this and everything that went on that it would annoy me that she put this in his birthday card. OK I am so over it now.
